African Gourmet Coffee

How fresh are your African coffee beans? When did the actual coffee roasting take place? There are numerous companies online that state they offer the best gourmet coffee or offer specialty gourmet coffee beans at "wholesale prices". In fact Google offers up just about 2 million pages pertaining to wholesale gourmet coffee. Picking out your gourmet coffee supplier can be an overwhelming decision, particularly since it will comprise such a significant ingredient contributing to the success of your gourmet coffee business. Look to Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters to meet your wholesale gourmet coffee roasting needs.

Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters is a custom gourmet coffee micro-roastery. Since 1995 we have been custom-roasting gourmet coffee beans per order for our customers. If you place your African coffee bean order before 11am we will:

1. Roast the specific gourmet African coffee beans ordered (i.e. Kenyan, Ethiopian, Tanzanian, etc.) to one of the degrees of roast requested:

City Roast: (Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters standard roast) which is a medium brown dry surface to the gourmet coffee bean. We feel provides the truest taste characteristics individual to each gourmet coffee bean and it's growing region.

Full City Roast: is a slightly darker level of roast that adds just a little more richness to the gourmet coffee bean but still keeping the true essences of the gourmet coffee beans in tact.

Italian Roast: is an even darker roast creating a rich, bittersweet characteristic to the gourmet coffee beans and allowing just a hint of oil to rise to the surface of the gourmet coffee beans. This is one of the more challenging degrees of roast. The roastmaster must very carefully track the exact time and temperature to dump the gourmet coffee beans into the cooling bin as to not allow the coffee to roast any longer which would lead to Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters last and darkest roast; the French Roast.

French Roast: Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters darkest and richest tasting roast is delicately and evenly roasted to capture the true bold characteristics of the coffee beans. A glossy sheen is created on the outside of the beans from the inner oils of the coffee rising to the surface from the high temperatures necessary for this roast. We feel as a micro-roaster a French Roast showcases the talent and craftsmanship of the roastmaster. The proper temperature and time allotted to this degree of roast is even more crucial then the previous roasts. Too low of a temperature will not allow the oils of the beans to properly rise to the surface. Too long of a time roasting and too high of a temperature too quickly will not only dry out the beans but allow them to develop improperly creating a coffee that is almost raw on the inside while burnt on the outside.

2. Blend to precise standards or create a custom blend for our customers (i.e. 50% Colombian, 25% Kenyan and 25% Sumatran) or

3. Flavor coffee (Snickerdandy, Hazelnut Crème or French Vanilla etc.) and

4. Stamp the bag with a "roasted-on" date

5. Ship wholesale coffee orders free the same day (20lbs or more) to commercial addresses.

By using only high-grade arabica beans, roasting, blending and flavoring to order, we are providing our customers with truly the highest quality. The freshness and personalization gives our customers a true advantage over their competition. As with all perishable foods, coffee beans have a "freshness life". To appreciate coffee at it's best, we recommend that it be kept in its whole bean state until brew time and use within the first three to four weeks of its roasting date. We encourage establishments to order only enough for the next 5 to 7 business days. By doing so it allows their customers to purchase bulk gourmet coffee beans for home use and have enough time to enjoy the coffee at its optimum flavor state. We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing of beans. There is a risk of condensation build up on the coffee, which would greatly reduce the flavor quality and freshness. It's best to store beans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Please browse our large selection of coffees. We feel confident that you'll find that we offer one of the best values for the highest-grade gourmet coffees.
